About Back In Motion | Clare & The Back in Motion Story
Clare followed a BSc.(hons) Physiotherapy degree course at Manchester University and qualified in 1998. Following a few years practicing physiotherapy in a range of British NHS hospitals and community clinics, Clare left the UK in 2001 to expand her personal and professional horizons by travelling across America, the South Pacific Islands, Australia and New Zealand. Combining travel with professional experience, Clare was able to garner new insight and experiences into global practices and innovative approaches to physiotherapy. During her time in Australasia, Clare travelled frequently from New Zealand to Australia to complete an extensive number of specialised manual therapy and Clinical Pilates courses. In New Zealand, Clare experienced varied and expansive work commitments.
Her experiences ranged from practicing private physiotherapy in busy city practices in Auckland and Wellington, to working alongside the lead physiotherapist for the Super 12 Wellington Hurricanes. Working with an international level rugby team provided Clare with significant professional experience treating elite athletes.
Returning to the UK in late 2003 with an enhanced passion for Physiotherapy, Clare was inspired by a vision for how exceptional Physiotherapy services are delivered. It was this ambition, revived passion for Physiotherapy, and love of travel, that led Clare to set up her own clinic. At the heart of this ambition was the aim to deliver exceptional physiotherapy services, with a modern fresh approach, whilst working as part of a team whom also share this passion for excellent and innovative physiotherapy care. The Back in Motion franchise now comprises seven clinics in East Anglia, UK, with plans for further clinics currently in development.
